DESCRIPTION:WWOLF (Willing Workers on Local Farms) is a community program of Central Oregon Locavore with the goal of lending a hand to local farmers and ranchers while educating participants about the true nature of local food. WWOLF gathers ‘packs’ of volunteers to spend a day working on chores and various projects\, giving farmers a boost! \nOn Thursday\, May 22\, we will be at Fields Farm on Bend’s east side. Fields Farm would like our help to plant potatoes\, a popular Central Oregon storage crop. Other tasks will be available\, too\, based on participants age and ability. \nJoin us in supporting local farmers and lend a helping hand as we prepare for peak season! \n
