Willing Workers On Local Farms (WWOLF) is a community program of Central Oregon Locavore Non-Profit with the goal of lending a hand to small farmers while educating the community about the true nature of local food.
We will adhere to the COVID recommendations set forth by the Oregon Health Authority, CDC, and Gov. Kate Brown. Rest assured, we are taking every precaution to keep you safe during the WWOLF events. We hope you join us!
How It Works: You will meet the group at Fibonacci Farm in Redmond at 10am. After a round of introductions at the farm, we will split into groups and get to work. We will break for lunch around noon and then continue working until 3pm or the projects for the day are complete.
What to Expect: Good times, new friends, and a boots-on-the-ground education about local farming practices. We love dogs, but please leave them at home for this event.
What to Bring: Snacks and water, work gloves, face mask for times when 6-foot distancing isn’t possible, closed-toe shoes, layers for the weather, and sunscreen. Tools and all materials needed to complete tasks will be provided by the farm. Soup and bread will be provided for lunch along with some product from the farm, or bring your own! We will have a hand washing station and sanitizer for participant use.
