VOLUNTEER TODAY!
Central Oregon Locavore is always in need of willing hands. We can only succeed at what we do with the help of volunteers.
There are many different opportunities throughout the year for volunteers to join in and help out. Volunteering for Central Oregon Locavore is a rewarding and impactful way to contribute to the community’s local food movement.
Volunteering for Locavore offers a chance to actively support sustainable agriculture and foster a connection between consumers and local producers.
Our volunteers contribute to the organization’s success and help us further our mission.
The Benefits of Volunteering

In the Marketplace
Marketplace opportunities include: candling eggs, sanitizing jars, helping stock shelves, outdoor maintenance, general cleaning, and administrative activities like filing papers. Some training is required.

Educational Programs
During the summer months we host WWOLF (Willing Workers on Local Farms), in which we bring “packs” of volunteers to farms to offer hands-on support. We always need a few lead volunteers to assist managing the groups.

Events & Fundraisers
Locavore hosts several yearly events, such as our Annual Spring Gala, Holiday Gift Faire, Bingo Nights, and other events. In particular we are looking for volunteers with food service experience and payment processing.

Specialty Skills
Locavore is hard working non profit with limited staff and volunteers with experience with specialties such as graphic design, videography, photography, document creation, software management, and writing skills are enormously helpful.
