to meet the moment, building new infrastructure that keeps local food accessible, stable, and resilient.
Our first neighborhood satellite will be located on Bend’s Westside, in a new neighborhood, a small-footprint pilot designed to test scalable, walkable access to truly local food.

This is not just another grocery store. This is infrastructure for farmers. Access for families. Protection for our regional food economy.
The Capital Campaign: Building the Infrastructure to Make It Work
We need your help to bring Discovery West across the finish line. Thanks to this community, we met our original fundraising goal, and we are incredibly grateful.
But as the build-out has progressed, additional infrastructure and construction costs outside of our control have pushed the project beyond what we originally anticipated.
We have stretched every dollar, adjusted plans, and worked hard to make the numbers pencil, but we now need to open a second round of fundraising to get the marketplace open and built to function well for the long term.
We are building this marketplace for you, for easier access to local food, for the farmers and ranchers who need more places to sell, and for a stronger local food supply.
