Locavore Learning Series provides accurate, holistic education about agriculture, nutrition, our environment and how we can all work together toward sustainability
 The class is designed to help beginning beekeepers get started.  We will explore questions common to those looking to begin beekeeping or have just gotten started. 
Topics will include:
–     Can you keep bees in Central Oregon
–     The cost of getting started/Equipment needed
–     Where to locate hives
–     Upkeep and how much time is required to successfully keep bees
–     And, how much honey can be expected
Hive equipment will be available for your inspection and we will discuss some of the various types of hives available.  We will also answer questions regarding where and when to get your bees.
