The Adopt a Farmer sponsorship program is based on the concept that a rising tide lifts all boats, and supports the interconnectedness of the local foodscape in Central Oregon. When you Adopt A Farmer you help Locavore to increase the capacity and economic viability of local farmers and ranchers through marketplace sales, product promotion, educational programming, on-far volunteers, and community engagement through far-to-table dinners and other events. These help farmers to grow their sales, create and retain employment opportunities, increase wages, and sell their products in the local community, which fosters a greater connection between the food we eat, the land on which is was grown, and the family that produced it.
